Breakfast on the Patio

Keith wanted to cook breakfast on the grill last Sunday, an idea that was met with great enthusiasm by me, because again, any time I don't have to cook is a good time.

But first he wanted to get some cast iron skillets to cook eggs and potatoes in. So, we went to Walmart and found some cast iron skillets that are actually made in America and so of course are not cheap. In price or quality.

He built a fire, we had some pork chops that were supposed to be for dinner the night before but we were too tired to cook them after spending the day downtown shopping at the antique stores. So, pork chops and eggs for breakfast.

Which ended up being more like lunch after the shopping and preparing the fire and getting the fire to the right temperature.

But it was nice to have a grilled breakfast and sit on the patio. My idea is to have him do a grilled breakfast every Sunday this summer. Which I think is a very very good idea.

That's a great idea! Always tastes better outside too - at least it does to us while camping or an anchor!
