Gross!

So, not only do I have freak show unwanted facial hair, I've also got RINGWORM! ARGH!

A few days ago I was putting lotion on and noticed that at the top of my leg there what felt like dry patches on my skin, so I just figured it was extra dry there, then yesterday I notice something on my ankle that I thought at first was a scrape or maybe another dry skin patch, but then I looked closer. And was wondering if I was allergic to my lotion or body wash or laundry soap, but then I looked closer, and went hmm, that's not just a dry patch of skin and it's not a scrape and maybe I'd better google it. My first thought was ringworm because I'd always heard that it appears in a ring shape with raised edges and yes, that's what my dry patch certainly looked like, and after googling ringworm images it was like they could have just taken a picture of my ankle. Then I looked closer at the top of my leg and I'm guessing that the dry patches there are also ringworm.

Which is not a worm. It's a fungal infection. Like jock itch. Or athlete's foot. But whatever it is it's gross and highly contagious and I need some anti-fungal cream like right now.

Eww.

Other than that, though, this week is shaping up pretty nicely. Some orders to ship out and some things I want to work on, and the weather is getting quite nice and may even get up to 80 by the weekend. I was able to open a few windows yesterday and even took off my sweatshirt. The trees in the neighborhood are starting to bloom and when we drove by one of the almond orchards on our way to the post office, the trees were beautiful. I am trying to convince Keith that we need to take an almond orchard drive this weekend to see all the trees but he's like ho-hum, I see them every day on my way to work. I would like to get out of the house and do something this weekend, though, and he is nice enough to where he will drive even if he doesn't really want to.

The cats are enjoying the weather, too, I opened up the back door yesterday and every single one of them lined up at the screen to smell the fresh air and hear the birds singing. That is until Genie came up to the back door and Pepper got all cranky and whiny because she doesn't like Genie coming to the back door so to keep them from trying to attack each other through the screen I had to shut the door.

Uh yeah eeew. But at least it's a fungal thing instead of some worm living under your skin. WTF do they call it ringWORM, and not ringFUNGAS?
