A Not So Relaxing Dinner and The Not So Daily Cuteness

Last night we were trying to figure out what to make for dinner with what is left in our fridge and freezer and since payday is not until tomorrow, there is not a whole lot to choose from. I'm tired and really don't feel like cooking and Keith doesn't want the meatballs that I'm prepared to cook. So, we decide to go get pizza, something that neither of us is supposed to be eating, but we've decided that once a month we can maybe eat pizza because life without never eating pizza again is really not worth living. Same with ice cream, but that is beside the point.

We were deciding between Rusty's, which we have a coupon for and always has good pizza and has a salad bar but is a ways down the road and do we really want to drive that far and Me n Eds which we couldn't remember if we'd ever eaten at in our quest to find a decent pizza in this town and didn't know if their pizza was any good. We have to go to the bank to get some cash to pay for the pizza so decide to go to Me n Eds which is right by the bank and we also have a coupon for. The place is busy and doesn't have a salad bar but does have a personal pizza for only $4.00 and calzones for only $6.00 and doesn't require the coupon that we have and in fact the menu says something about no coupons and now I'm really confused. We also each order a salad which are kind of expensive at $5.00 each. We sit down in the rather small dining area and I notice it's kind of run down and the walls are filthy like someone threw their pizza against it.

We get our salads which are probably not worth the $5.00 but do have lots of cheese and olives on them and are crispy and cold, and it's a good thing that we got salads because it took FOREVER for our food to arrive. Apparently they were really behind on orders, some woman had ordered pizzas to be ready at 6pm and had to wait because her pizzas weren't ready and my little pizza came a full 10 minutes before Keith's calzone came so he had a few pieces of my pizza while waiting. The $4.00 was a good deal on the pizza, but as far as taste went, it was kind of blah.

The entire time we sat there waiting for our food, and trying to enjoy our food when it (finally) arrived, the Me n Ed's phone was ringing and ringing and ringing and ringing and ringing and nobody was answering it and it was driving me crazy and I was about ready to go ballistic and scream at the top of my lungs ANSWER THE F**CKING PHONE ALREADY!!!

Needless to say we will not be going to Me n Eds again and should always listen to our first instinct and go where we know the food will be good and we won't have to listen to a phone ringing and ringing and ringing while we are trying to enjoy our dinner.

And now, for the Not So Daily Cuteness.

I've shared some overpriced painted rocks from Etsy here before. Painted rocks that had little dots all over them and such, painted rocks that I couldn't believe people were actually paying money (and lots of it) for. But these painted rocks are different. And take a lot more talent.

From ShebboDesign, who is from Istanbul, Turkey, an adorable painted rock cat ring.

And this eyeball pendant.

This one is painted on fabric, a sweet little cat pendant.

Really cute shop and you can also get a custom pet rock with your favorite pet painted on it.

Pizza Hut has $10 takeout... any size any toppings... It doesn't support the local mom and pop's but we don't have a good one of those in our area, or we'd probably eat there too...
