Misunderstood Lyrics

I've been listening to one of those 'soft' rock stations the last few days, you know, the ones that you'll hear in the dentist's office or the ones you had to listen to at work so you wouldn't offend anyone. It's funny, I haven't listened to this kind of music on a regular basis since I left office work, and it's the same songs they were playing way back then.

So, anyway, George Michael's Father Figure comes on the radio today, and until someone told me the correct lyrics, I really couldn't figure out what the song was about.

Here is the correct refrain from the song:

(Baby)
I will be your father figure
(Oh baby)
Put your tiny hand in mine
(I'd love to)
I will be your preacher teacher
(Be your daddy)
Anything you have in mind
(It would make me)
I will be your father figure
(Very happy)
I have had enough of crime
(Please let me)
I will be the one who loves you -
Until the end of time

And here is what I hear:
(Baby)
I will be your BOTTOM FEEDER
(Oh baby)
Put your tiny hand in mine
(I'd love to)
I will be your CREATURE FEATURE
(Be your daddy)
Anything you have in mind
(It would make me)
I will be your BOTTOM FEEDER
(Very happy)
I have had enough of crime
(Please let me)
I will be the one who loves you -
Until the end of time

Even now that I know the real lyrics, I still hear bottom feeder.
