Bald Heads and Trash Balls

I've been busy this week with re-doing all of my shop pictures and stuff like that. I don't know what climbed up my you know what but I thought it was time for a shop makeover so have just now finished cleaning things up in there, removing old stuff and trying to get some new stuff done.

Anyway.

Here is an actual one sided conversation between Keith and Mimi the other night.

Mimi, do you want to play trash ball?
Play some trash ball, Mimi?
Trash ball?
Trash ball?
Let me make you a trash ball and play with you!

Seriously. Trash ball is Mimi's favorite game and what a cheap game it is. No fancy cat toys needed. Just grab a piece of paper, wad it up into a tight ball, throw it, and wait for here to run after it then bring it back to you so you can throw it again. She doesn't always bring it back to you, sometimes you have to go down the hall and get it to throw again, and if you are not playing throw and fetch, she'll find a trash ball from a few days ago and bat that around the house. I find trash balls in some odd places, sometimes in the food bowl, saving it for later, and sometimes in my shoes.

Okay, bald spot. Be prepared to get totally skeeved out because I am going to show you a picture that I had Keith take so I could see it. You can stop reading now if you don't want to see the picture, which is a little disconcerting and kind of creeps me out even if it is my own bald head.

I went to the doctor on Wednesday and she gave me a prescription for some cortisone cream and a referral to see a dermatologist, with whom I have an appointment on the 20th. I also got blood drawn to check my thyroid levels and to check for lupus. I haven't heard back on the results yet on those, but in the meantime am trying to get the cortisone cream on the right part of my head three times a day, which is hard since I can't see what I'm doing.

Here goes. Here is the picture. Prepare yourself or again, STOP READING NOW!

Creepy, isn't it?

Yikes Elizabeth! I have hypothyroidism & have been on thyroid meds (levothyroxin) for 7 years. I have lost all of my eyebrows & they have not grown back. If I do happen to sprout a rogue eyebrow, it eventually falls out. Lab tests show that everything is within normal range. It has me baffled while my doc tells me that maybe they will eventually grow back. I'm still waiting, 3 years later. I am very interested as to what your doc might find. I've given up bugging my doctor about it & have decided that it is time to change to another doctor....& bug him! I hope that you find answers to your hair loss, Elizabeth!
