Procrastination

Or, why do something today that you can put off until next month? Or never?

Keith made our beautiful new fence and gate about 6 months or so ago and he meant to put some sort of sealer or paint or something on it to keep it looking nice, right? He really meant to but of course it didn't get done because he got distracted like we all do. Or was watching TV or something. Anyway, we are supposed to start getting our fall/winter weather this week with maybe rain on Friday, so he wanted to get the fence sealed before the rain starts. Sounds good. But not good when you start painting the fence at 6pm on a Wednesday night when we are having gale force winds and leaves and branches are flying about and it's dark outside and you have to get up at 4:30 a.m. to be at work by 6. He was outside until after 11 last night finishing up and messing around in the garage. And I can guarantee you that he will be too tired tonight to finish the job.

But what else is new, the shed that he built 7 or 8 years ago still hasn't been painted.

Keith gets a train model layout catalog in the mail every few months, not that he's ever ordered anything from it and not that we could ever order anything from it and not that I'd let him start ordering anything from it because the last thing he needs to do is start a model train layout when there are so many other things that need to be finished around here first. Like the fence. And shed. And all the half finished stuff in the house.

But, it's kind of fun to look through the catalog and the model kits they have for buildings and the little people that they have for your layout, and my eye was caught by a really cool ferris wheel that costs like $200.00 and then right under the ferris wheel I see this.



Yes, it is a strip club for your train layout complete with hookers hanging around the front door. Awesome!
