Update on Keith's Mom

While in the hospital for the pneumonia, the doctor's found cancer in Keith's mom's lungs. The poor woman is already a breast cancer survivor, has had numerous health issues the last few years, and almost died last year when she had the stroke or seizure or whatever it was- the doctor's are still not sure exactly what it was but it left her with some brain damage and needing to be kept an even closer eye on by a daily visiting nurse. And now this.

The doctors are talking radiation treatments but so far she doesn't think she wants to go through all that. So, it doesn't look good. We all have to go someday, nobody lives forever, but this just seems extra cruel and if the powers that be have decided that her time is up they could have chosen to let her go last year when she had the stroke instead of waiting until now and giving her cancer.

Keith is worried but has been expecting bad news for a few years now and has been somewhat prepared for that inevitable phone call. He's got to keep focused on his training, hard-hearted as that sounds, but this job is his last chance. So, we'll just be hoping for the best but prepared for the worst and if this is the end of her time here on earth I think we're both hoping that it will be quick for her sake.

I also commented back on the post where Keith got sick but I have no clue why it didn't go thru. Sometimes I forget to type in the security word.

OOPS, there is no security word. So I don't know what happened to it.

Awwwwww... hugs to my bro-in-law. As John says, "No one gets out of here alive", but good lord, enough is enough for one woman to be handed. Tell Keith we are thinking of him. We all (his mom included) would want him to be able to concentrate and do well with his training - there is nothing else he can do, but do well for himself and you.
