Here she is again, sitting on a coiled up vacuum cleaner cord. She is a strange cat sometimes.
Today is of course Mother's Day, which I'm sure you're all aware of by now, and if you aren't then oops, you'd better run out to the hallmark store RIGHT NOW! and hope that they have some cards left!
We went and had breakfast at Coco's this morning. So did all the other moms in town, that place was pretty darn busy. And that is the extent of our festivities for the day. Actually, I'm spending the rest of the day by myself. Keith is driving down to Oxnard to see his son James who has been in Alabama for the past 3 or 4 months, staying with a friend and doing child care while the friend was going to nursing school. Something about the state of Alabama paying for moms to go back to school and become nurses and paying for the child care too. He is done with that for now and came back to CA to visit his mom for a few days before he heads back to Las Vegas where he really lives, so Keith went down to have a visit. Also to give him a birthday card since tomorrow is his 25th birthday. We are hoping that reaching the age of 25 will magically change him into someone with some sort of plan for the *next* 25 years, he has had a tough time trying to figure out what he wants to do with himself. He has been living with his grandma supposedly to help keep an eye on her and help her out but it's more like the other way around. Anyway, it's going to be a very quiet day here. And the floor is still not done, but what else is new?
