I was awakened this morning by all sorts of banging noises and my still asleep mind at first thought that Keith was slamming doors on his way to work or something, but if he was on his way to work then he was going to be really really late. So, I check the closet to see if somebody got locked in there, but no, it was Buddy who had gotten stuck in the bathroom. He likes to play in there because the slick floor is great for sliding his toys around and he had knocked the door closed. He was in there with his tailless big furry black mouse, his most favorite toy these days. I had bought two of them in a package, one white and one black, and for some reason he has only played with the black one. He's played with it so much that its tail had ripped off. I don't get why he doesn't play with the white one.

It is supposed to get up to 80 degrees today.

Daylight savings time always screws me up for a week or so while my inner clock re-adjusts itself. The whole thing is kind of dumb if you ask me, why not just stay on real time like the rest of the world does? At Keith's work they told everyone to come in at 7 instead of 6 until the days get long enough to where there is actually light at 6 am instead of trying to work in the dark. Then when the days start getting hotter and hotter they'll come in at 4 or 5 so that they're not out there in the midday sun. So, at least he gets a little extra sleep for a few weeks until he has to start getting up in the middle of the night again.

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, a 'holiday' that has become just another reason to drink until you are stupid. I remember being in grade school and the horror of going to school on St' Pat's day and having totally forgotten what day it was and you didn't wear anything green so you had people pinching you all day long. Do kids still do that?

I tried making french bread (from the 5.00 dinner cookbook) last night and let's just say that it would have been easier and much tastier to just buy a damn loaf of french bread already! I think I remember why I've never been much interested in making bread now.

I need to go finish vacuuming and maybe even clean the bathroom now.

Puss does that but it is because he sneaks into the cabinet where we have cat treats and we don't see him and close the door and he bangs on it wanting to be let out.
