Super Bowl Festivities?

I don't much care about football, but we are going to join the rest of the nation today in watching the Super Bowl (the TV is already on and all the pregame shows are blaring in the background as I type even though there are still about 5 hours to go until the game actually starts). I don't really get how they can fill up an entire day of broadcasting with nothing but Super Bowl crap, but that's just my opinion. The pregame show is actually longer than the actual game, and who cares what the players ate for dinner last night, anyway?

We're not going to any bars or parties, but we did buy some frozen TGIF onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and potato skins, so we can pretend we are at TGIF, even thought we don't have one in this town. (And what's up with that? Hey, Fridays people, build one of your restaurants in this city already!) We also got some potato chips and dip, and even some carrots and celery so we won't end up totally constipated after eating all the mozzarella sticks.

So, we'll spend a lazier than usual Sunday, comfortable on the new sofa, eating crap junk food, and not really paying attention to the game, just waiting for the commercials, which are definitely the best part of the whole thing.

The best commercial so far has been the first Dorritos one, where they guy had a "crystal ball" but it was really a snowglobe!! I have recorded the super bowl just so we can go back and watch the commercials...or I should say so I can go back and watch them.
