Politics and Ickiness

I've been feeling icky this week, nothing specific, just general achy body parts when I get out of bed and kind of an upset stomach. General malaise I think it's called. Either that or I'm just feeling my age more and my bones are all creaky or something. I have no ambition to do much of anything this week, either. I'm waiting on a new rheostat for my soldering iron hoping that being able to control the temp will result in smoother soldering. But, since sales are so slow, I'm having a hard time getting excited about making stuff, new rheostat or not. Sigh...

Tonight is tortilla soup night at Spencers. But it's also the VP candidates debate at 6pm here on the west coast. So, I told Keith that if we go for soup we have to go really early (like early bird special early, you know, 4pm or so) so that we can be home by 6. I am so looking forward to watching this debate, solely for the entertainment value. I can't wait for Sarah Palin to start talking!!! I saw a little of her interview with Katie Couric and was dumbstruck. So was Katie Couric. Katie had that deer trapped in the headlight stupefied wtf look on her face while listening to Sarah. Like there should have been a comic book thought bubble above Katie's head filled with a big WTF???. I'm not that political of a person, but this is one heck of a ride this year!

I also have to go buy some toilet paper tonight. I don't feel like riding the bike over to walmart and then having to ride back with the jumbo pack of toilet paper balanced on the bike, thank you very much. I went to Target last night for cat food and paper towels and thought 'hmm, maybe I should get some toilet paper while I'm here, but no, I think we just bought some, so I'll wait on that'. And then of course, after I get home I realize there is only one roll of toilet paper left that I'm hoping will last until Keith gets home with the car. Hoping.

Well we just listened to the debate on internet radio (have no TV, ya know?)... pretty interesting. I screwed up though... forgot to do the absentee ballot this year and I live in flippin Mexico... oopsie.
