Sigh

I was just talking to Keith on the phone and he asked me to check his email to see if anything from BNSF came in.

Well.

He did have an email and it was not good news. We went over your qualifications, blah blah blah, and can't offer you a position at this time, but you can re-apply in 6 months. So now he is going to be totally depressed and discouraged and very unhappy for a while.

I was getting excited about the possibility of him working for the railroad and the possibility of getting out of this town, but I guess it's not to be. The only good thing is that he still has a job I guess, but he has been wanting a railroad job for so long now and any possibility of getting one is looking less and less possible as the years go by and we get older and older.

So. His day was totally ruined by the news.
