How Convenient

Not.

We now have a refrigerator in our living room. Keith thinks that it should maybe stay there since you could sit on the couch and reach over and get a beer without having to get up. Ha ha ha.

Well, it might be handy for beer but not for anything else. It's kind of a pain to have to wind your way through all the stuff in the living room to get the milk out.

More work on the kitchen floor this weekend, with this project going the way that every project in this house does, problems, issues, and a whole lot more work than anyone ever thought it would be. None of our walls are really square, so lining up the wood with a wall would result in one of those optical illusion floors that would make you feel like you are sliding downhill. Not to mention the vertigo. So, line it up with a cabinet instead, and spend most of the day figuring up cuts and lengths and then finally getting about two feet of flooring in. Late last night. Then have to get up at 4 am to go to work. We should have just hired somebody to do it.

At least the weights from the weight bench that nobody has used in years come in handy. I don't think that this is the way the real floor installers do it, but whatever works to hold the wood down while the glue dries. The flooring is going to look really nice. Eventually. If this project ever gets finished.

What else went on this weekend? Nothing much other than redoing shop pictures yet again. I started a thread about picture issues on etsy and got some good advice about getting better results. To me my pictures looked fine but everyone thought they were too dark and said to try picnik, which I did and am real happy with the results. I haven't figured out yet if you can edit more than one picture at a time, though, and one picture at a time is rather time consuming. Like all evening on Saturday. But my collage shop looks way brighter now. See?

Okay, I think I need to learn how to do a screenshot better, but this gives you an idea of how it looks.

hey ya! I use google's Picasa program. It's a free download, and you can edit your pictures one at a time as you loaded them up... personally liked it better than picnic. ♥

I'll have to go check out your shop and see what you've been up to!
