Pumpkin Spice Crap And Tiny Spiders

I guess it is spider season and they like my kitchen a lot. For the past month or so every time I swept the kitchen floor, which is actually quite frequently since I like a clean kitchen, I've swept up teeny tiny little spiders and have found teeny tiny little webs under the cabinets by the floor. I sweep up spiders one day and by the next, more tiny spiders. I sprayed under the cabinets a few times which seemed to help but yesterday was amazed at the audacity of this tiny spider, trying to build a web from my canister to the counter top, a counter top that I wipe off multiple times a day.

Last night I went over to Target to pick up some milk and a few other things and decided to peruse the area that they have by the front checkouts where they display cookies and crackers and seasonal stuff. I know autumn is here according to the calendar but not according to the weather outside, which has been hot with air quality that is 'unhealthy for everyone' in other words stay inside and don't breathe.

So, up in that area where they have cookies and seasonal stuff they have gotten a little carried away with all the pumpkin spice and other fall flavored things. It's a bit ridiculous as far as I'm concerned but probably marketing genius (and I had to look up how to spell genius because I always think it should be spelled genious).

We've got pumpkin spice pop tarts, pumpkin spice bagels, pumpkin spice english muffins, pumpkin spice cereal, and a whole lot more pumpkin spice in every food imaginable. An entire row of pumpkin spice foods. The english muffins were actually tempting but I resisted.

The Entemann's pumpkin donuts were also tempting but I resisted.

In some rather sad news, we decided to have poor old Genie cat sent to the big litter box in the sky. She had been failing for a while now and also incontinent, extremely skinny and just not looking so good. Keith took her to the vet who said he could do blood work and all to see what was wrong with her but the cost was just way too much for such an old cat and we just couldn't justify spending money that we really couldn't afford to spend. As near as we can figure she was 15 or 16 years old and the past few years have just not been good to her. So, down she went with Keith broken hearted, but pets don't live forever and its actually a relief not to have to deal with trying to take care of her every day which of course fell on me since Keith is not home all that much. Actually all of the animals would probably starve if I weren't here and the cat boxes would be overflowing.
